Titanium alloys, particularly Ti-6Al-4V, are one of the most widely used groups of alloys and have been extensively used for biomedical and aerospace applications due to their mechanical behaviour and biocompatibility. However, improving its mechanical properties remains a critical research priority to ensure efficient behaviour and long-term viability. Therefore, this article aims to explore the effect of using the severe plastic deformation technique, particularly the High-Pressure Torsion method (HPT), on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti-6Al-4V under an applied pressure of 3 GPa at the ambient temperature. Various numbers of turns are employed, which are 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 turns of HPT, and compared with the bulk sample. The findings observed that the microhardness increased significantly after one HPT rotation relative to the bulk sample. The mechanical properties of the Ti-6Al-4V alloy showed improving after turns 5 and 7.
